| Tenative Summer Activities East Side Swimming Pool: Open - May 30th Closes - July 29th Pool Hours 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fireman's Park Wading Pool (Ages 6 and under) Open - May 30th Closes - July 29th Pool Hours 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Playgrounds Areas : Sterling Anderson Park Open 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm Shady Grove Park Open 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm The playground areas have adult supervision for the children to play games. Cleveland Park Commission Gym Will be open the Months of June & July from 8:30am til 4:30pm and Supervised by Charles Cole Gym Supervisor. An officer from the Cleveland Police Department will also be there representing the Drug Awareness Program. |

| There are nine parks with playground equipment located through the city. There are also Nineteen ballfields (11 baseball, 8 softball), eight tennis courts, and one gymnasium (consisting of 4 youth basketball courts, 2 adult basketball courts, and 2 volleyball courts), one swimming pool, and two wading pools. The Park Commission operates programs in baseball, youth and adult softball, youth and adult basketball, youth football, volleyball and soccer. The summer season is most active with fifty organized baseball teams, and twenty-nine organized softball teams ranging in age from Five to Sixteen years old. We have Thirty-eight youth basketball teams, ten girls volleyball teams, twenty-five youth (boys and girls) soccer teams ranging in age from six to fourteen years old. We also have eight flag teams and eight tackle football teams ranging in age from six to twelve years old. Other recreational facilities in the Cleveland are are: Bowling Alley, two Swimming Pool, Eighteen Tennis courts, two Golf Coures, Auditorium-Coliseum, Country Club, and a Performing Arts Center. |
